Workshop on Community Productive Work- Mask making and distribution
Our classmate Awani took a session for us on mask
making. She detailed us on the exact measurements to take for making a medium
sized mask. She even gave us tips to get the stitching right. We were supposed
to make five masks each and distribute it to neighborhood homes.
We were happy to have this session as we could
contribute to the society. Mask has become an indispensable part of our lives
now and to contribute in that aspect was indeed the best community productive
work we could have.
The five day camp gifted us with innumerable
experiences and learning. It almost seemed as the dynamic side of all the
theories and ideas we learnt through the course of these two years. Each and
every activity we had be it; news reading, to tea distribution, to organizing
of cultural events gave us the insights on collaborative work and the magnitude
of its success when compared to monotonous decision making.
We all had divergent opinions as natural as it can
be but through the camp we acquired the temperament to sit together and work
out things in common consensus. That was indeed the best of development we
could reap.
