When Perspectives were tested!

As all the students are staying at home, most of the colleges are conducting state and national level online quiz competitions. While some are open to all graduates or post-graduates, some are exclusive to student teachers. One such quiz was organized by Mount Tabor Training College, Kollam. It was a national level quiz on Perspectives in Education and was to be completed within 75mins of commencement. The quiz was quite hard and was very much comprehensive when teacher education is concerned. Unlike other quizzes that gave certificates to all who manage to score 60%, this was restricted to those who obtained 80%.

Thanks to my teachers, I received mine..

Diary of a Techno-pedagogue in the making...

In the course of the last one year since I joined for B.Ed, I was confronted with many tasks that pushed me further off my limits. Though initially intimidated by them, with time I began loving each of the tasks assigned to us. As a student, I loved to see innovative teachers who amazed us. Knowledge itself is wondrous, it all depends on the person who deciphers it whether it seems amazing or tedious.

As a teacher or put it this way, I aspire to be a teacher who'd treat knowledge with great affection that my students would never back off from seeking it. Every time I do something, I wish to make it different from how I did it previously.

Through the accounts entitled 'diary entry', I would like to record my progress as a techno-pedagogue. The dates will not be continuous.. but like the breadcrumbs of Hansel & Gretel, it'd help me keep a track of my journey.

A Feather in my Cap

During the lock down times we were all brushing up on previously learnt portions and revising for our upcoming exams. Our beloved teachers had begun giving us short sessions of revisions so that we stayed in touch with studies.

One evening our optional teacher Ms. Prabhitha shared us a link asking us to attempt a quiz to check our MCQ skills pertaining to English Language Teaching. Only after beginning the quiz did we realize that our mail id's would be saved, to which our results would be sent. To add to our enthusiasm we came to know that if we would score 60% and above, we would receive certificates.

Finally with the receipt of my certificate I learned that the quiz was being conducted by the English Dept of prestigious Peet Memorial Training College of Mavelikkara. Though I took the test without preparing and got a few questions wrong, I felt really happy in being able to participate in it.
